Mobile Phlebotomist San Francisco - Home Draw Blood Service

We at the National Phlebotomy Providers Network believe that everyone should have access to high-quality, affordable, and efficient health care. We strive to do our part in the process by offering our state-of-the-art mobile phlebotomy services. This service aims to help expand patients’ options when it comes to how and where they get their blood work and labs done. We know how hard it can be to get to a lab for those with limited mobility, severe health conditions, and for those who lack access to transportation. With that in mind, we have developed a network that features an at-home blood draw service to ensure that patients throughout the San Francisco area receive safe, professional treatment in the comfort of their own homes at a time convenient for them.

Mobile Phlebotomist Services in San Francisco

Getting one of our highly-trained, friendly, and professional phlebotomists to come to your home, office, or care center to collect your samples is as easy as making an appointment through our online patient portal.

An appointment can be made for yourself or on the behalf of a person that you care for such as an elderly parent or sick family member. Doctors and other healthcare professionals can also make an appointment for their patients through the online portal as well.

To make your appointment we’ll need a few pieces of information including:

Once we have verified your information then you will be able to pick a date and time that works for you. That means there’s no more need to take hours out of your day to get your blood work done.

What Is the Process For Getting My Blood Drawn?

On the day of your appointment, your blood draw will take place just as it usually does. The only difference is that we come to you!

You’ll want to make sure that you follow your doctor’s orders prior to your blood draw such as fasting, drinking plenty of water, and taking any medications that you normally would. This will help to ensure that your results are as accurate as possible.

Our talented phlebotomists will come and verify your information and will perform the blood draw quickly and virtually painlessly.

Once the blood draw is complete, your samples will be carefully packaged and securely delivered that same day to the lab of your doctor’s choosing. We are partnered with hundreds of labs across the country, so the safety, security, and quality of your samples are our highest priority.

On average, it will take anywhere from 24-72 hours for your samples to be processed by the lab. Once your results are ready, they will contact your doctor who will then be able to discuss your results with you.

All of our professional phlebotomists are fully trained and licensed and are held to the highest standards of quality and safety.

The Mobile Phlebotomy Services We Offer In San Francisco

The MobiLab Express™

MobiLab Express is a service that allows medical providers to order blood draws for patients on-demand. Our mobile phlebotomy services ensure patients throughout the San Francisco area receive safe, professional treatment where the patients are located. With a raging pandemic, limiting exposure is a benefit that many, especially the elderly can use to their advantage. When our phlebotomists arrive at the chosen locations, patients only need to provide proof of insurance and fill out an intake form before our phlebotomist begins drawing blood.

The Specimen PROs™

Specimen PROs™ service provides a full range of specimen collection services. Ours is a medical staffing team of experienced, state-certified phlebotomists dedicated to providing flat-fee mobile draw services at your location. We service all hospitals, clinics, physician’s offices, and research facilities throughout San Francisco on a daily basis. We will cover as many patients as the schedule allows during each session. By serving smaller or medium-sized groups instead of one patient at a time, our service model saves everyone time.

Does Medicare Cover San Francisco Mobile Phlebotomy Services?

While we currently work with the majority of insurance providers to help our patients utilize our efficient and convenient services, unfortunately, at the moment, Medicare does not offer coverage for mobile blood draws.

The cost may be covered for some Medicare patients if they have supplemental or secondary insurance, however, we cannot guarantee that. We recommend checking directly with your insurance provider to determine what your co-pay or deductible may be.

For patients who do not have insurance, or for whose insurance will not cover the cost, we charge a one-time fee of no more than $99. We will be happy to provide you with a medical reimbursement form to give to your insurance upon request.

If you qualify for Medicare coverage but have limited income due to illness or disability, our MobiLab Express™ and Specimen PROs™ can work with your insurance company to ensure 100% compliance with billing standards.

Difference Between Mobile Phlebotomy And Regular Phlebotomist

Regular phlebotomist services in San Francisco require patients to visit a clinic or hospital for the purpose of drawing blood. It takes longer than a conventional home-draw blood service and puts the patients at risk of contracting SARS-CoV-2 in the transit or the facility.

Mobile phlebotomy services enable a patient to receive medical care from the comfort of their own home and have the convenience of not having to travel to a clinic for treatment.

With our mobile lab technician service, your patients don’t need an appointment nor a waiting room; these technicians are on-call seven days per week. They are dedicated staff members who provide fully insured services that meet all HIPAA compliance standards.

Patients can pre-register online through our secure client portal and even include any special instructions or accommodations they may require. This saves time so you can get right down to business and actually help the patients faster. Sometimes, this extra speed-up of the process can even mean the difference between life and death for some patients.
