Mobile Phlebotomy Services Atlanta

For many, the idea of going to a lab and getting your blood drawn is a nerve-wracking experience. The thought of battling traffic and then waiting in line for hours on end is not a pleasant one.

That’s where the National Phlebotomy Providers Network comes in. We strive to provide a safe, convenient, efficient, and patient-centered approach to healthcare. Our mobile phlebotomists eliminate the hassle typically associated with getting your blood work done by coming directly to you.

At Home Phlebotomy Services

Our at-home phlebotomy services offer a unique opportunity in healthcare. There’s no longer a need to worry about transportation, mobility issues, or the potential health concerns that a typical lab trip consists of.

Instead, our mobile phlebotomists will come to your home, office, or managed care center to collect your samples.

What Is A Mobile Phlebotomist?

A mobile phlebotomist is just like a regular phlebotomist. The main difference is that instead of working at only one location, our mobile phlebotomists can travel virtually anywhere to help you get your blood drawn.

Are Mobile Phlebotomists Safe?

Yes. Our mobile phlebotomists are held to the highest standards of care and are trained to follow all FDA-approved COVID precautions, safety, and quality standards. Our phlebotomists are licensed and highly trained professionals.

Professionally Trained And Equipped Mobile Phlebotomist

We directly employ our phlebotomists which allows us to ensure that they maintain all required state and national certifications. In addition, we keep them up to date on any necessary continued education, safety protocols, quality standards, and HIPAA compliance measures.

Because we do not use third-party contractors, we are able to ensure that these exacting standards are upheld and that our mobile phlebotomists are given the best state-of-the-art equipment and training available.

What To Expect During And After An In-Home Phlebotomy Service

Prior to your phlebotomy, your doctor will instruct you if you are required to fast beforehand. It is beneficial to drink plenty of water before your appointment and typically you will be instructed to take your medications as normal.

On the day of your appointment, your mobile phlebotomist will arrive and will introduce themselves to you before explaining the procedure. They will then ask you to verify your identity and will review your doctor’s orders to ensure that the correct samples are collected.

From there they will have you sit or lie down and will wrap a tourniquet around your arm. This will help your veins stand out and will allow them to select a suitable vein for the procedure.

They will then clean the area with an antiseptic solution and once it has dried, they will use a new, clean, sterile needle to perform the venipuncture or blood draw. They will then collect the tubes that are required in order.

Once the samples have been collected, they will remove the tourniquet before removing the needle and applying pressure to the draw site. They will then apply a bandage to help keep the area clean and allow it to heal.

You will be instructed to keep this bandage on for 20-30 minutes after which time the wound should be closed and you will be able to remove it.

Most people will feel no different after their blood draw, but in some cases, you may feel a little lightheaded for a short time. Relax for the rest of the day, drink plenty of water, and have a snack on hand that you can enjoy after your appointment.

Congratulations! You’re all done with your blood draw. From here our phlebotomists will deliver your samples to your local lab and you will typically get your results within 48-72 hours from your doctor.
